Entire Condo Unit in Gotanda, Tokyo
1-4 guests • "1 bedroom" • 2 beds • 1 bath
1 minute to Gotanda Station
13th floor unobstructed view
Hey! My name is Kodlee Yin. I own a 53 m2 (570 ft2) 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo in Gotanda, Tokyo that I like to share to friends as a 1b/1b unit.
The building is just one block away from Gotanda Station , servicing the Yamanote Line, Tokyu Ikegami Line, and the Tokyo Metro Asakusa Line which means direct access to Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinagawa, and Tokyo stations in 15 minutes or less!
About
I bought this condo early 2025 with a desire to move to Japan, so I built it up with quality appliances and furniture. Instead of keeping it empty for the majority of the year, I figured it would be the perfect place for friends and family to stay.
Welcome to my home!

This condo was freshly renovated in 2025. With a 13th floor, front row view of the cherry blossom-lined Meguro River, its expansive 13.5 m2 (145 ft2) balcony is the perfect nighttime relaxing spot. In the morning, the southeast-facing, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that span the living room let the unobstructed rising sun gently warm the home.
Many locations say "walking distance" to represent 5–10 minutes to the nearest train station; however, this condo is better represented as "crawling distance" at 20 seconds by foot to Gotanda Station. This journey is packed full of Sushi, Yakitori, Thai, and Soba restaurants, as well as Bars, Karaoke, and a Doctor's office (just in case)! Despite the crowds that Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Akihabara - on the same train line - are known for, Gotanda gives plenty of breathing room away from the lines, while still supplying a Tokyo-level density of food and entertainment.

Please be respectful of the place
It's my actual house full of (somewhat expensive) things that I cherish. Please report any mishaps so they can be taken care of. - No smoking or vaping of any kind, including on the balcony.
- No pets.
- No kayaking indoors.
Location & Access
Haneda Airport (HND)
Via Keikyu Airport Line
To Gotanda
- Take the Keikyu Airport Line towards Shinagawa, getting off at Shinagawa Station
- Follow signs for "JR Lines" (you'll pass through a ticket gate)
- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shibuya, getting off at Gotanda Station
Bye bye
- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinagawa, getting off at Shinagawa Station
- Follow signs for "Keikyu Lines" (you'll pass through a ticket gate)
- Take the Keikyu Airport Line towards Haneda, getting off at your terminal
- You only need to purchase a single ticket (or use an IC card like Suica or Pasmo) to ride this line. There's no special "reserved seat" ticket, even for the "limited express" Keikyu trains because there are no seats to reserve!
- Pay close attention to the Keikyu train you board! Both the Haneda terminal and Keikyu Shingawa Station service different routes from the same platform. When headed to Gotanda from the airport, verify that the departure sign says "Bound for Shinagawa"; and vis versa, when headed back to the airport, verify the departure sign says "Bound for Haneda Airport."
- Google Maps will also show a "Tokyo Monorail" route, but it's double the distance and cost, so I don't recommend it.
Narita Airport (NRT)
Via Narita Express (NEX)
To Gotanda
- Purchase an NEX basic fare AND reserved seat ticket at the NEX ticket machine
- Take the NEX, getting off at Shinagawa
- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shibuya, getting off at Gotanda Station
Bye bye
- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinagawa, getting off at Shingawa Station
- Follow signs for the NEX platform and look out for the NEX ticket machines right before the escalator down to the platform - purchase ONLY the reserved seat ticket here
- Take the NEX, getting off at your terminal
- Whenever you take a train that has reserved seats (eg. the NEX), you must purchase a seat reservation ticket at a special ticket machine, teller, or online ON TOP OF your basic fare ticket. Note using an IC Card (like Suica or Pasmo) to tap into a station counts as your basic fare. This is why when heading back to NRT from Gotanda, you don't need to purchase a basic fare ticket - simply tapping into the station will count as your basic fare.
- Google Maps will strongly suggest taking the SKYLINER, sometimes hiding the NEX route. I do not recommend taking the Skyliner because it requires standing on the Yamanote line, juggling all your luggage, to the other side of the loop, where you board the Skyliner. Instead, the 2 minutes you save could be spent sitting in peace in your reserved NEX seat. However, if you're already planning on going to that side of the Yamanote line, then the SKYLINER may be the better route.
Any Shinkansen Accessible City (Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, etc)
Via Shinkansen

- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shibuya, getting off at Gotanda Station
Bye bye
- Take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinagawa, getting off at Shingawa Station
- If you haven't already, purchase your Shinkansen tickets at the Shinkansen ticket machine
- Follow signs for "Shinkansen" (you'll go through a ticket gate)
- Take the Shinkansen, getting off at your destination
- You can book tickets online, but you still need to get the physical ticket by visiting a Shinkansen ticket machine (this can be done day-of)
- If you're traveling during a Japanese holiday, I would highly recommend reserving tickets early
- Keep your ticket even after entering! You'll need it to exit.
- You cannot use IC cards like Suica or Pasmo to pay for the Shinkansen :(
